The trick is in the camera. As the water travels down the tube, sound waves cause the tube to vibrate in a very predictable way. Because the subwoofer is playing a 24hz sound and the camera is recording at 24 frames a second, it makes the water drops appear to stop and shimmer, when in actuality you are seeing 24 different similiarly shaped drops in the same location every second.
